PRIME DIRECTIVE: TO CREATE, COLLABORATE, EXPERIMENT, AND LEARN AS MUCH AS I POSSIBLY CAN WHILE HERE ON PLANET EARTH.
I’m Angela—a Graphic Designer located in stunning Colorado. I find that my identification as a Graphic Designer can be a loaded title. I don’t design because it’s convenient or trendy, or because it’s my cash cow (HA!), I am a designer because it is what fuels my soul. I design because I must.
I like to keep things simple. As a professional, there are three main things you should know about me. First, I am a team player and an independent go-getter—happy to work with a group of individuals of all different professional backgrounds and also, comfortable taking a blank page and running with it. Second, I consider myself an eternal scholar. After seven years in the industry, I believe I am just starting to explore the possibilities within my field. Nothing gets my heart racing like a well-balanced, strategy-driven, design that meets its directive. What keeps me up at night is the idea that somewhere out there in the vast unknown, there are designs being haphazardly thrown together without thought. Great design is more than beautiful, it’s meaningful, and it lasts. Finally, I like to think of myself as the not-so-evil-but-maybe-a-little-mad scientist, constantly experimenting with my craft. I’m always trying to keep track of the latest trends in the design universe and stay sharp on new styles and techniques. Even with the multitude of tools and software available to designers these days, I still like to get back my roots with a pen and paper. I like to dabble, but not in a “little of this, little of that” sort of way. I seek to master each new tactic, skill, and tool to not only better myself as a professional but also as an artist.
When I’m not obsessing over design, you might find me jamming out on my keytar, serenading my cat (Genevieve) with a piano solo, or geeking out over whatever world my latest Sci-Fi read has imagined. Reach out to see what we can create together.
